ABBA?!
Today was a pretty low key day. The class I´m in learned about the current technology trends in Sweden (iPads up, personal computers down) and then compared Swedish and American high school programs. I´m sure Swedish highschool is very good, but I´m glad I don´t have to specialize in a subject as early as highschool. I had my last day of folk dance intresse today, which was more fun than I expected. We learned several traditional dances and performed on at the closing program of the first session. Later, we had an ABBA themed kvällsprogram, the highlight of which, for me, was when I unexpectedly starred in a music video. Said work of art may or may not appear on this or other pages, though I honestly kinda hope it doesn´t because my performance was probably unimpressive at best. ABBA actually came to Sjölunden during this kvällsprogram and performed several songs, though they looked suspiciously like several of our ledare. We ended the night with stargazing. It was a lot of fun, but the moon was almost full and therefore quite bright. All of the one weekers have returned home, and we have currently the smallest credit class I have ever seen. In just a few days, the best stuga in Sjölunden, Birka, will only have five proud occupants. Tomorrow will be Midsommar, which is always pretty great. I´m looking forward to sleeping in and having frukost with my stuga.
